Why Django sucks for building web APIs (and how we can make it better)

At DjangoCon EU this year, the well-regarded pythonista Kenneth Reitz stood on stage and effectively recommended building your Web APIs in Flask rather than Django. Things don't have to be this way. This talk outlines the areas that are lacking in Django, and proposes how we can address them.
